Treasurer - Mr Rudolf F de Soet (Netherlands)Rudolf de Soet is managing director of A&O Services, a Dutch pension fund services company which invests €4 billion in assets, having previously worked for Euronext as a member of the Executive Committee and Head of the derivatives markets of Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. He is a past member of the Board of Amsterdam Exchanges and earlier the European Options Exchange in Amsterdam. Prior to joining the exchange industry, he worked for Shell in the financial organisation and Billiton Suriname as Financial Controller. Rudolf holds a degree in law and business administration. |

Dr Leo McCarthy (USA)Dr. McCarthy, Director of Transfusion Medicine at Indiana University Medical Center for over 30 years, is now Emeritus Professor of Pathology, Medicine and Pediatrics. A Fellow in the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and Ireland, he serves on several editorial boards, established a Transfusion Fellowship and the McCarthy Transfusion Lectureship. He is a distinguished AOA Nebraska alumnus, AABB’s John Elliot Award recipient, and a “Sagamore of the Wabash”, Indiana’s highest honor for distinguished lifetime work, achievement, and leadership. |

Dr Paul F Strengers (Netherlands)Paul Strengers, M.D., F.F.P.M., post-graduated training in transfusion medicine in Edinburgh, Scotland and clinical epidemiology at Leiden University, joined Sanquin-CLB in Amsterdam (1986) as Head Medical Department, was Medical Director of CLB Blood Bank, and is currently Medical Director at Sanquin Plasma Products. He is Secretary-General of the ISBT, Past-President of the European Haemovigilance Network, and member of several Advisory Boards. |

Geoff Lane (United Kingdom)Prior to retirement Mr Lane was a Senior Vice President with Haemonetics Corporation, President of Haemonetics Asia and Managing Director of Haemonetics (UK) Ltd . Currently he undertakes assignments as a Business Consultant in the health care industry and is the Treasurer of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) having served on the Board of ISBT for the past 6 years. |
